What is Anirag and how is it different from ChatGPT Enterprise?

Anirag is a GDPR-compliant RAG platform (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) on EU servers. Unlike ChatGPT Enterprise or Microsoft Copilot Studio, your data stays 100% in the EU, is not used for model training, and you can mix LLM providers (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Mistral, local Llama). Anirag is BAFA-eligible and fully classifiable under the AI Act.

What does Anirag cost without our consulting package?

Anirag Cloud is available standalone: Starter €49/mo, Business €199/mo, Enterprise custom from around €999/mo. If you book one of our three RAG packages, the respective license is already included — you save the license cost and get full implementation support on top.

What does the Anirag implementation cost without BAFA funding?

Accepted Answer

RAG Starter: €2,990 / month (setup €5,990). RAG Partner: €4,990 / month (setup €11,990). RAG Transformation: €9,900 / month (setup €22,500). The monthly fee includes an operations flat fee for operation, maintenance and usage — incl. token and third-party costs up to €500 (Starter), €1,500 (Partner) and €2,250 (Transformation), additional usage billed by effort. All prices net plus VAT. The setup fee is standard and always due. The Anirag license is already included in the monthly price.

How does funding work — and what is actually subsidized?

BAFA funds individual, scoped consultations, not ongoing retainers. Concretely: 1) We submit the AI potential check (€4,980) to BAFA, funding up to €2,800 depending on the federal state — out-of-pocket from €2,180. 2) In the RAG Partner package, we additionally apply for BAFA for an implementation audit phase (another grant up to €2,800). 3) For the ongoing implementation we evaluate go-digital (up to €8,250 grant per module) as well as state programs (Bavaria Digitalbonus up to €10,000, NRW.go.digital up to €5,000, BW Digitalisierungsprämie Plus up to €100,000). Which combination is optimal depends on location, industry and company size — we clarify that in the discovery call. The ongoing retainer itself is not BAFA-eligible; it is paid normally.

Where is my data stored?

By default in Frankfurt am Main (AWS Frankfurt) or Vienna (for DACH customers with AT requirements). In the Enterprise plan, a dedicated EU region (Zurich, Vienna, Frankfurt) is selectable, plus optional on-prem connector for air-gap requirements (critical infrastructure, clinic, law firm). Can I also run Anirag on-premises?

Yes, in the RAG Transformation package an on-prem variant is available (Anirag Sovereign). It runs in your own data center or VPC, with an air-gap option for the highest security requirements. Setup and licensing are individual — we discuss this in the discovery call.

What is the difference between RAG Starter and RAG Partner?

RAG Starter is for SMBs with a first application (1 data source, 5 pilot users) and includes 2 calls/month plus the Anirag Starter license. RAG Partner is for mid-market companies that want to operate productively with 25 users and 5 data sources — incl. hands-on implementation by us, BAFA funding support and Anirag Business license. Upgrade possible at any time.

How long does the implementation take?

In RAG Starter: Anirag workspace and the first data source typically run within 2 weeks. In RAG Partner: first productive use case after 4–6 weeks, full pilot with 25 users after 12 weeks. In RAG Transformation: first use cases after 4–6 weeks, full company roll-out 6–12 months (in parallel with funding).

What is the minimum term?

Accepted Answer

All packages have a 12-month minimum term — including the 3-month trial. During the trial you can cancel at the end of month 3; after that the package runs to the end of the 12 months and extends automatically by 12 months unless cancelled 3 months before the end of the term. You can upgrade between packages at any time. If you end the engagement, we export all your data, you keep access to your embeddings and can continue running Anirag yourself.
